Navigation is not the only sport activity that you
can practise in the coast of Malaga. The
Mediterranean water of this land keeps in the deep
sea beautiful marine treasure that can only be
admired by scuba divers. Visitors can discover this
ecosystem well equipped with an oxygen bottle
and a wetsuit in the coasts of Estepona, Fuengirola,
Mijas or Nerja.
Wearing the wetsuit, we can look for stronger
emotions in the water and take profit of the wind
practising surfing and using a kite. This is called
kitesurf, a new sport that count with many lovers
in the province. Indeed, when wind blows in favour,
the sea is crowded with windsurfers that sails
creating waves in the water and splashing the vivid
blue water.
Wind blows better in beaches like Guadalmar and
Los Alamos in Torremolinos, Laguna Beach in Torrox,
but the most important one is El Palo beach in
Malaga.
Wave permitting, surfers sail the sea, drawing
figures and making pirouettes challenging the
natural forces. This great spectacle, worth seeing
when weather permits, can be seen in some beaches
like Torrecilla and E! Playazo in Nerja, Carihuela,
Los Alamos and Guadalmar in Torremolinos. Regarding relax, canoeing is a sport
based on a quiet and relaxing
activity that with the movement of
paddles you can sail the sea or the
river, with the limits of the horizon.
A great place to practise this activity
is Sierra de Grazalema, in the
Travesia de la Isia, where children
can also enjoy. This is just another
possibility to enjoy the beautiful
and natural landscape of Malaga,
during all the year. |
